The result is fluent and confident musicians and proud kids!

Penny has the most amazing way with students—her devotion is also apparent in the time she takes to set up special recitals and opportunities for students to share their music with one another, as well as with family and friends.

Learning to perform first in fun, small student groups.

Groups
These very popular piano parties are held once every month on a voluntary basis. They are for students only and are included as part of the tuition. Individual performances, group discussions and games help students understand their music in the context of music theory and music history.

Every student creates a performance repertoire list.

Recitals
Community Performances: Held at nursing homes, senior apartment centers, hospitals, local churches, colleges, schools, shopping malls, museums, and movie theaters.

Small Ensemble Recitals: Performers are paired in duets with other students, parents, and friends in students’ homes.

Teaching across all senses and learning styles.

Projects
Finding a new sound to explore or a new rhythm to feel ... a new picture to look at, a story to write, a drawing to make, or an emotion to express. Turning their music into an imagined story helps students devise their own interpretation for every piece. Students feel a sense of pride and ownership when their unique interpretation is a part of their performance!
