Most of us begin our lessons with a warm up exercise at the piano that we simply call “Marvin’s Warm Up.” Well, Marvin Blickenstaff, Co-Director of the Program for Excellence in Piano Study at the New School for Music Study and founding board member/past president of The Francis Clark Center in Kingston, NJ, dedicated teacher of all levels including beginners, voluminous author of publications dedicated to teaching piano well, frequent national presenter at music conferences and holder of the highest honor that the Music Teachers National Association awards, will be joyously meeting us for an engaging hour on zoom! Marvin wants to meet all of us, young and teen and adult students, parents and our families, as much as we want to meet him! Mr. Blickenstaff will share a bit about himself and why he sees music lessons as a key to personal expression and artistry. He wants to hear from you too! Why you chose to study music, what you enjoy, what is hard, what is fun?! We will learn another warmup or two. And expand our appreciation for the magic our fingers can create in sound!
