« All Events

April 29 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

This is the big recital event of the year!  Students have been working on their pieces inspired by water of all kinds, since January.  This recital also coincides with the student’s practice fundraiser to protect the endangered Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle of Massachusetts.  Inspired by George Frederick Handel’s Water Music and Music for the Royal Fireworks collection of music for King George I, students’ will perform music from this historic collection and thematic pieces that paint a picture through sound of the ocean, the sea, rain, tears, storm, mist and the animals the depend on these bodies of water for their existence.  You might even expect to hear music from The Little Mermaid and Pirates of the Caribbean!  This is also a multi-media event.
